Where it all Began

We’re three friends who take snacking, probably more seriously than we should not in a “count every calorie” way. More like “why does this taste so good but do nothing for me?” Or worse still “why is this healthy but feels like punishment?”


This question followed us everywhere. Especially in Sydney, where life was great…beaches,sunshine, the occasional kangaroo casually judging you…but the snack aisle? Not so much.

Everything seemed to fall into two buckets:
1. Delicious, but nutritionally empty
2. Healthy, but joyfully forgettable

And somehow, no one was fixing it.

At some point, this stopped being a passing thought and became, well, mildly annoying. Then seriously annoying. Then impossible to ignore.

So we did what any slightly irrational but determined people would do. We quit our jobs, packed our bags, left Australia and came back to India and decided to build the snack we couldn’t find.

No grand plans. Just a stubborn belief that snacks should taste great and do something for you.

That was the start.

In 2022, Stroom was born. After a lot of trial, error, and an unreasonable number of taste tests, we finally rolled out our first batch in March 2023.

And honestly. We’re just getting started!

Built From The Ground Up

Once we started, the obvious question came up. Why bars? Why not shakes, cookies or something cooler?

Simple answer: bars just fit real life. No prep. No shaker. No excuses. Just grab and go.

But here’s the thing. Most bars out there are dry, dense and honestly… forgettable.
We didn’t want to reinvent snacking. We wanted to fix what was already broken. Sounds easy. It wasn’t.

We tried working with manufacturers. Everything we got back felt “just about fine”.
Not bad. Not great. But definitely not something you’d crave. And that wasn’t good enough.

So we took the harder route. We built our own setup from scratch. Which basically meant a lot of experimenting, a lot of failures and way too many taste tests.

And that’s where it clicked. We stopped trying to make a “better protein bar” and started asking the question - what would we actually want to eat?

That question led us to our biggest breakthrough yet. A centre-filled proteinbar.

Soft on the outside, rich and indulgent inside. Finally, something that feels like a treat but works like fuel.

That’s when we knew that we were onto something.

What We’re All About

What started as one product quickly turned into something bigger.

We’re not here just to make protein bars. We’re here to fix snacking.

Our rule is simple. If it doesn’t taste great, it doesn’t make the cut. Everything
else i.e., protein, better ingredients, functionality comes after but does also
come nonetheless but never at the cost of experience. Simple rule but a tougher terrain.

Because honestly, why should you have to choose? We’re building Stroom right at that
sweet spot where indulgence meets purpose.

That means constantly pushing. New formats, better textures and rethinking snacks you already know… but making them actually craveable.

This isn’t just about food. It’s about changing how you look at snacking.

No sacrifice. Just the easiest switch.
